Week 2

So first, I want to apologize for not doing this on Friday. The last couple of days have been super busy with sick kids, doctors and I hurt my back some how and was out of commision for most of the day yesterday! Thank goodness for my wonderfully awesome husband who let me sleep lots! I am now feeling slightly better.( I can move.)

Week 2... Was a little easier! I find my taste buds changing . Some of the foods that I thought had a horrible after taste, no longer have an after taste. The brownies I get from Medifast have been good from the start. At first though they weren't SUPER chocolaty tasting... Now though they taste pretty rich! My cravings are getting a LITTLE easier to convince myself I don't need them. ( I will admit I am not perfect though and cheat with a little bite here and there at times.) But I have not fallen completely off plan... and don't intend to!

I learned this week that I need to watch my salt intake a little more! Salt is BAD and it is in EVERYTHING!!!

At weigh in I was at 193lbs! Another 4lbs down. Total of 8! Woohoo! I haven't officially checked my measurements since I started and probably wont for another couple of weeks. I am thinking I will do that on a monthly basis. I did however take a curious peek at them earlier in the week... It looks like I have lost a decent amount of Inches across my body! I am ready for my results to start visibly showing. So excited for smaller clothes!

I am also noticing that I am not as hungry! The whole eating 6 times a day thing definitely makes a big difference!

Next week my blog may be late as well.. We leave for NC on Thursday night for my Brother-in-laws wedding reception :) It will be a short trip, but we are very excited to be headed back down to NC!

LOL.. couldn't resist...
I am going into week 3 excited and ready to keep getting healthy!

Week 1 weigh in!

So this week has been tough! I didn't think it would be so hard to do TSFL. My cravings have been pretty hard core! I wrote some notes in my phone from day 1 and day 7 I want to post.. Then i will continue on and tell you my weigh in.

"Day 1: Today was hard! By the end of the day I found myself craving the carbs! Biscuits, Fries, Burritos... All the yummy stuff!!!
The Medifast food isn't to bad! It could definitely be worse! I am rather impressed with the taste (especially the chocolate stuff!) Hopefully getting through the first week will make things easier!... I WILL DO THIS!!! "

"Day 7: Ok, this week has been rough! I got sick Monday night... I was not able to eat ANYTHING all day Tuesday and Wednesday. Even fluids were tough to keep down so i know i wasn't drinking near enough water! "

(If you cant tell... that says size 5! I cant wait! )

So... with all of that being said... I weighed in today at 197! I am down 4lbs! Woohoo!!! My goal for this week is to lose more than i did last week... even if just barely. Normally I would be happy with 4 lbs ( and i am happy..) But I KNOW i can lose more than that!

This week I am working hard on my mind set. I am working on convincing myself that those cravings aren't really what I want. Not as bad as I want to weigh 130 again!!! I am making sure to drink at least 100 oz of water every day. Make sure I am eating the correct around of meat and veggies according to my plan! I will not eat late and night and I will work out in some way every day! I have the "zumba" game for the Kinect I am going to try. ( Good thing I live in the middle of  Nowhere... don't have to worry about closing my blinds! ha ha)
I am very impressed with the results of Medifast so far! Not just that I have lost 4lbs so far, But that I am already starting to feel the changes in me. I feel better. I have more energy and motivation during the days! Its wonderful! I can only imagine what I am going to feel like 6 months from now! I can NOT wait! For motivation I have "decorated" my closet doors with a pair of my favorite "skinny" jeans and an old shirt. Once my printer ink comes in the mail I will hang "skinny" pictures all around them. Every morning when I wake I am going to see the reason why I am ignoring my cravings!!!

  See Y'all next week! :)

So excited!

I am so excited to start a new journey in getting skinny and HEALTHY.  Over the last several months I have tried and failed miserably at losing weight several times! Starting Friday morning I will start the journey completely over again. This time I really feel like this is for REAL. I am looking forward to starting something that will show me results and within the first week even! I got so discouraged over the summer when I would work my butt off for weeks, working out and counting calories or carbs. I would get nowhere at all! A lot of the time I would GAIN weight instead of losing it. I would cry to Ryan and he would try to find some way to comfort me and encourage me to keep going. Of course it never worked and I am now at my heaviest weight ever! (201lbs) I can't even stand to look at myself. I hate getting dressed in the mornings. If going out I wear baggy sweatshirts or coats to try to hide my ginormous belly. I look back at pictures and kick myself. In high school I used to say how "fat" I was. HAHA. If only I could be close to the weight I was in high school.  Even after I had Brooke my nurse had said something to me about how I was a skinny girl... I laughed. Well.. I was skinny before I had Brooke. I wish i could have seen that.
I still live in a small town near where I grew up and I dread going anywhere and running into someone I went to school with.

Right now I am so looking forward to losing some of this weight. I am ready for the energy that will come with it. I am ready to feel sexy! Ready to not have to wonder why my husband wants to touch me or even lay in bed snuggled up to me.

I have spent lots of time reading reviews and success stories for "Take Shape for Life". Everything I read just gets me more excited. I feel like Take Shape for Life (tsfl) takes so much of the "work" out of losing weight. I don't have to do all the math every time i want to eat. I don't have to measure out everything i want to eat. I can just grab and eat!

I have decided to set smaller goals along the way. I would like to lose 10lbs by the 10th of February. and 25lbs by the end of March. By the 10th of May I want to weigh 160 or less! My final goal weight is to weigh 130lbs again! For motivation I am going to do a weekly post ( I know.. you've all heard that before...but I'm for real!). I am also putting pictures all over my house of SKINNY me!

  I am doing this!!!
